Shaping the future of Denton Enterprise Airport
At Denton Enterprise Airport, planning for the future is critical to meeting the evolving needs of aviation and our community. The Airport Master Plan is our comprehensive guide for sustainable growth and development ensuring that the Airport remains a vital transportation hub and economic driver for years to come.

What is the Airport Master Plan?
The Airport Master Plan is a long-term strategic document that outlines the vision for Denton Enterprise Airport’s future. It evaluates current and projected aviation needs, infrastructure requirements, and operational improvements while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship. This plan is developed in partnership with industry experts, community stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure alignment with local, regional, and national goals.
The plan is essential for securing state and federal funding, guiding responsible development, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations.
2015 Master Plan
The current Airport Master Plan was completed in 2015 and involved significant engagement from airport stakeholders and the community. Many of the recommended components of that plan have been completed, including land acquisition, taxiway improvements, a main runway extension, and the construction of a parallel runway.
